Ordering your Adia fertility hormone test

Why should I test my fertility hormones?

Understanding your hormones can help you better plan for your health to achieve your goals. Your hormones influence and are an indicator of your fertility health including your ability to conceive, recruit healthy eggs, react to alternative fertility treatments such as IVF.

When should I take a fertility test?

We believe information is power. The earlier you understand your health the better informed you will be to make decisions. So whether you are trying to conceive now, or not planning on it for another decade, it’s always better to be informed as early as possible.

How do I order my test?

Just simply login to Adia and click to order your test. It just takes a minute and then you’re test will arrive in about 48 hours.

What does it cost?

Adia’s hormone test is now £99 – reduced from £169 for a limited time only!
This is hundreds of pounds cheaper than a private clinic which charges more for the test and also for the consultation to interpret the results – can often amount to bills in excess of £500!

How is your test so much cheaper than the clinic?

Our tests are the same as those offered by the clinics. However, we can order more tests than a typical individual clinic and therefore get lower costs that we can pass on to you. Also, we don’t have an expensive clinic to pay rent for so we can lower the costs for you.

Can I get the same test for free from the NHS?

No. While you can get some hormones tested on the NHS for free it is not comprehensive. The NHS does not offer a test for Anti mullerian hormone (AMH), which is critical to understanding your fertility. You would have to get that hormone tested separately at a clinic, which often costs more than £80 alone. So to do the equivalent test to Adia on the NHS you’d have to wait months to get the free test and then still pay £80 privately.

Can I test while on birth control?

For the hormone test we suggest you not to take the test until you are off the pill for two months as the results may not be accurate. The nutrition test is not affected by the pill so you can test it at any time.

Can I take the test if I have recently given birth?

Absolutely, both tests can be taken after you have given birth. If you are breastfeeding you will notice that your prolactin level may be higher than normal, but perfectly fine for levels of someone who is breastfeeding.

How often should I take the tests?

We suggest taking the test annually to see if there have been changes.

Can I purchase the test anywhere in the world?

Currently we are only offering the hormone and nutrition test in the UK, nationwide. We are planning to expand beyond the UK so stay tuned. If you do take a test elsewhere you can still submit your results to Adia and get your Adia fertility profile.

What laboratories does Adia work with?

We work with many of the UK’s top laboratories that are the same labs performing tests for the NHS and private clinics. These include but are not limited to The Doctors Laboratory.

Are there any medications that may affect my results?

The contraceptive pill will affect your hormone test and we suggest you do not take the test until you have been off the pill for 2 months.

What if I already have test results but don’t understand them?

If you have taken any of these tests before you can submit your results to us and we will generate a report for you that interprets the test for you so you can understand them.

What is Adia’s refund policy?

We process your order instantly to get you the test as quickly as possible. As a result we have a 24 hour refund policy. So if you request a refund within 24 hours of making your order we will provide a full 100% refund. However after that period we will be unable to provide a refund as we will have already sent the test equipment out to you. If there has been a change to our pricing in the past 7 days since making your order you can also request a refund and we will refund any difference in the test price.

Taking your fertility test at home

How do I take my blood sample?

We provide you specific instructions in your Adia kit so review that when it arrives. You simply use the finger prick to poke your finger and then fill up the viles with blood. We provide two viles and it’s best to fill one up completely and put extra in the second vile. This helps make sure we have enough blood to run your test and get accurate results.

When can I take my blood sample?

The hormone test should be done during days 2 – 4 of your period. This means you should draw your blood sample during those days. For the nutrition test you can do it at any point in your cycle.

When is day 2 – 4 of my period?

Day 1 of your period is the first day when you start bleeding (menstruating) – not just spotting, but full flow. So day 2 is the second day of bleeding. For example, if you start bleeding in the morning of Monday, you can take the test on Tuesday through Thursday. If you start bleeding Monday night then you can take the test on Wednesday through Friday.

Which labs are delivering my tests?

The laboratories doing the tests for us are the same that provide tests for the NHS and private clinics in the United Kingdom. These include but are not limited to The Doctors Laboratory.

I hate blood, what do I do?

When you order your test, you can also ask that a nurse come to your house to draw the blood for you. This will require us to charge an additional fee.

Do I need to fast for my tests?

No. You do not need to fast for any of our tests. The only important thing is to take the hormone test between day 3 and 5 of your period.

Your Adia Fertility Profile

What does my Adia fertility profile include?

We create your profile from your test to give you a full picture of your fertility health. Are these results accurate?

We have worked with the top fertility specialists and NHS clinics to design our test and report to be comprehensive and accurate. We’ve reviewed every word and calculation and continuously test our technology systems to ensure quality and accuracy. You’re in good hands.

Are these the same tests a fertility doctor would order?

Yes. The Adia Test has been developed by our experts, who are certified fertility specialists in the NHS. We have design the test to be comprehensive and provide a full picture of your fertility for you and your doctor.

Will these results be accepted by my doctor or a fertility clinic?
